The Mexico Expedition
Many adventures await us in Mexico.
We will be using our inflatable kayak to explore the Laguna Agua Brava near Mazatlan.
We hope that our timing is right so we can explore the beaches at night and see turtles on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts come ashore to lay their eggs, and see the baby turtles hatch from their shells and race to the water.
We will experience the Day of the Dead celebration in different cities and compare their celebrations with our earlier experiences in Oaxaca.
We plan to explore by kayak the Huasteca region around Ciudad Valles, and river raft near Veracruz.
We will climb into the hills near Morelia to view the migration of the monarch butterflies.
We plan to explore the historical gold and silver mining towns and maybe even explore the inside of one of the old mines!
We will climb onto volcanoes, and scuba dive along the coasts.
We will experience the Maya culture in places such as Palenque, and see natural wonders such as the waterfalls near Chiapas.
We have a list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and we plan to explore as many as possible.
We are looking forward to all of these adventures and hope that you will join us along the way! Follow along through photos and email.
